Nina Zlateva
Nina Zlateva likes to inhabit the world which she creates in her art. She likes to model it, to look at it and to experience it. Her art tells stories that mix up light and optimism. These are stories of times long past, lands far away and happenings long gone. Oftentimes her paintings draw upon mythology – but with no direct references and capable of quickly transporting the viewer into the contemporary multicultural world.
The artist wins us over with the colorful multitude of her themes and her distinct technique. Nina’s works magnetize the viewer; it is balanced, simple, esthetic and professional. Building upon her memory of some dramatic personal experiences, Nina Zlateva whisks us into her dream world, into her free land of fairytales.
Her works have a cathartic quality carrying after-rain freshness and shining in her typical colour pallete.
She has participated in numerous national and regional art exhibitions. Her works are found in art collections in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Germany, France, Great Britain, Norway, Japan and the United States.
